Glenn Greenwald and Friends: Fearless Adversarial Fox News Contributors

Oh how the mighty have fallen

I wonder if they could make FB put in some limits on how big your friend network can be and what groups can use it? Probably not, but I like the idea of limiting it to states.

The level this guy is on is that Fox News gives him regular airtime and MSNBC wonā€™t have him on, therefore Trump > Obama.

The only reason Trump didnā€™t start a war is that Iran didnā€™t fire back. It wasnā€™t for lack of trying.

Itā€™s pretty clear that Glenn found a groove that separates himself from other writers and heā€™s making a living out of it. Even if that groove is full of red herrings, strawman arguments and flawed logic, heā€™s in it for better or for worse.

Nothing? He constantly shits on that Ruper guy and never mentions him tweeting about his infant daughter like every third tweet.

I guess? I wouldnā€™t put either my infant or 12 year old on social media my if I were in their shoes. Parents do it all the time though.

Seems like a good point.

Trump would of been fine with wars i think. But he did start less.

Trump was probably just trying to find some common interests with Bolton.

Nobody ever confused GWB with a morally upstanding statesman. Is this guy on crack?

I liked the bit about Obama ā€œstarting a war in Yemenā€ by which Glenn means that the US provided logistical support for the Saudis in one of their endless proxy wars with Iran. Trump could have withdrawn support for this any time he liked. One convenient excuse to do so would have been the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, instead of which Trump checks notes gave a speech essentially saying that the Saudis spent a lot of money on American weapons, and what was a little murder between friends. He then went on to assassinate a top Iranian military official for no apparent pressing reason. So yeah dude Iā€™m sure heā€™d totally have refused military support to the Saudis back in 2015.

It wasnā€™t a reference to any of the folks commonly discussed here, but I just heard the phrase, ā€œhe has a face for podcasting and a body for Substackā€ and I needed to share with the group.

Ok so I listened to the segment because I assumed it was the normal overwrought headline. I liked Glenn in the past. Iā€™ve read his books, Iā€™ve paid to see him speak, and I am perfectly willing to hear people who fall outside of the Democratic establishment say negative things about Democrats

but listening to the segment, Glenn is parroting exactly the verbiage that youā€™d hear on a Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro, etc right wing radio crank. Itā€™s no longer ā€œI am disagreeing with Democrats so I feel like I need to get my say out on any network that would have me, so I just have to go on a network that I donā€™t agree withā€, itā€™s ā€œDemocrats are fascists, unlike Fox News (who tells the truth). Democrats are living in an echo chamberā€ etc.

Like thereā€™s no way I could walk away from that segment and think there is any daylight between Tucker or any right wing crank and Greenwald.

Yup. He sold out any and all convictions he once held for more money.

How anybody can respect him is beyond me.

Or his racism was always more important to him than you thought and now heā€™s spending all his time with right wing cranks and heā€™s turned into one.

Always good to remember that the way Glenn started his career was by volunteering to defend literal nazis in court for free.

In all fairness, the ACLU defended the KKK yet no leftie shits on them.

Civil liberties are for everyone.
