Warren doesn’t need any “too far left” baggage “the squad” might bring. Plus Bernie and AOC have history.
I couldn’t believe that posters thought that AOC would support any other candidate tbh.

This kind of seems like a made-up narrative. I mean, I think some people here thought she might hold off explicitly endorsing anyone for a while (which had the chance of meaning that she might not endorse Bernie, if he had dropped out), but I think everyone here was well aware that Bernie was her first choice.
I think it was smart of her to endorse him now, and I’m glad his campaign is going to likely get some juice from it. I think it’s good if he’s a real factor for a while. I also think it was smart that she made a point of pre-endorsing Warren, so no lines are artifically drawn too early.
I also agree with the poster that Warren is probably better off without an early backing from the “squad.”

I’m having problems finding an exact citation, but AOC literally worked on Bernie’s campaign in some capacity in 2016 before she was in congress. The Justice Democrats are tied into this as well, which has crossover with the 2016 Bernie staff. AOC is a Justice Democrat who was put in by them in 2018. So its not really made up at all.

Oh no, sorry, that’s not what I meant. I always understood that she is a Justice Democrat. I was saying that the “made-up” part is that a bunch of posters here thought she wasn’t a Bernie supporter.
