He is one of the biggest idiots in Congress and that’s saying something.
One thing that perpetually trips up people when they move from political science theory to political science practice is that in the abstract representative democracy obviously makes sense and then when you implement it a bunch of the representatives turn out to be shockingly stupid. It’s kind of amazing how long it takes some people to piece together why in a representative democracy the democratically elected representatives are so dumb.

Why are they so mad about the idea that there’s a relationship between poverty and crime? That seems like a completely standard idea?
They intend to impoverish whole communities and still call themselves the LAW & ORDER party. Talking about how their policies cause the crime is not consistent with that.
