If you’re looking to get your feet wet, the Sahara is supposed to have a Tuesday 1/1 game. On my next trip to Vegas, I might hit that up to see what drunk PLO is like.

The 1/2 PLO is super soft and only a $500 cap. I think the best way for anyone to transition to PLO is to read Hwang’s big play book and try to be really nitty to start out. Relative hand strengths are quite a bit different than HE.
Even the 5/10 and 10/20 here is softer than 2/5 in Oklahoma. I’d take the Oklahoma PLO pros / winning regs against any region. Game has been popular here for a long time (15 years at least?) and there are some really good players. My only good tourney story (as I only play 1 a year max) was a few years ago for the 1K or 1.5K PLO at the WSOP. After day 1, me and the 2 guys I sit next to from my 10/25 game were 78,79 and 81st in chips (1500 entrants maybe?). They finished in the 40s and I finished 25th iirc. Pretty cool.
But yea you could crush 1/2 PLO live.

I played a home game 5 years ago with a WPT champion, WCOOP PLO champion, 2 Sunday million winners and there were enough fish the game was still soft and I was the biggest winner.

Dudes wife would cook us a 5 course meal every night, w/e alcohol you wanted on the house. Fish got rinsed, but how can you beat that?

Grabbed lunch at the Bang Bar opening. Phenomenal. Probably the best fast / street food vegetarian bite I’ve had in a long time. Spicy Eggplant U-Wrap. And I was fanboying out a little due to the GM of Momofuku group hanging out for the launch.
Got some more BJ back at Aria and decided to hit the pool to drink all these NA IPAs I picked up Monday and do some light reading.

Never understood the appeal of BJ. It’s the most boring floor game IMO.

BJ is basically the only floor game I have played. I’m going to make sure and break out of my comfort zone when I go this summer and play multiple games. Craps is a guarantee. What else do you like?
