Interview with the comic, Kelly Bachman:
I would hope, if push came to shove, that I would have the guts to do what she did. Pretty cool.
In Chicago, where rezoning also occurred to allow for more growth and taller, denser construction (known as upzoning), the changes have been shown to have “no effect” on housing supply while “housing prices rose on the parcels and in projects that were upzoned.”
That linked article is really good too.
Mac nerds - my T key is going bad on my personal mac pro 13" (2014 model). a) is it worth even fixing? and b) assuming no - this is a pretty good deal on a 2017 mac pro 13". Should I be worried about disks not included? Weird that it’s still on Yosemite. I should be able to upgrade for free right?
I can’ ell you if i’s worh fixing bu you don’ really need a key
I don hink I is wor h fixing bu I don’ know.
Can’t believe Andy Capp made it to America. It would make almost no sense there.
I think I just beat Olivier Busquet in a randomly pooled 3 minute blitz chess.com game, check out the Chess - #94 thread to confirm or rain on my parade
It was in every paper in the country for many decades. It might still be for all I know. that lovable scamp
I like how all sides of the debate are being advocated by Richard Florida.
“discs?” Macs haven’t had disc players in a long time, definitely not in 2017. Not sure if you can upgrade to anything but the latest OS with Apple, never tried it.
As far as fixing a 2014 keyboard? Probably not worth it but you’d need to price it out to know for sure. 5 years is a good run for a laptop, my MBP is a 2015 and still does everything I need it to, just not for very long if it isn’t plugged in…
Yeah I’m thinking I should just pull the trigger on this 2017 model instead of fixing the 2014 and something else breaking.
Do you need new? Almost-new refurbs with very juicy specs can be had online. I priced out one for photo and video editing (Mac), one for gaming (PC), very pleased with both.
Also, lol at Unstuck trying to come between our budship
Slickdeals and reddit laptop deals are both good resources for new computers.
2017 is no new
