Of course, but we’re talking about the construction industry. There is often a very wide gap between what should be done and what actually happens with worker safety, and enforcement is a complete joke.
Police say he was in possession of a large knife and a samurai sword at the time of his arrest
They love their swords

It still amazes me that Guilfoyle was once married to Gavin Newsom and served as the First Lady of San Francisco. #HeelTurn
I’m at home waiting for the cable guy to finish up and just discovered the new Let’s Make a Deal. It is freaking wild! I’d swear Tim & Eric direct this if I didn’t know better.
Maybe this is my Bruce moment, so flag me if necessary, but this is definitely a guy who needs to die sooner rather than later.
Do you mean the Wayne Brady version that’s been on for ten years?
Yes! I’ve never seen it before. Ten years? Wow
Did you hear that Drew Carey is hosting The Price Is Right now?
Yeah I knew about that
Yeah it’s awesome.
I’ve only caught it in glimpses, but one of the last ones I watched there was a love connection between two contestants who didn’t know each other beforehand.
Sparks were flying and Wayne Brady (who was born for the role) played it to great comedic effect. (That sentence sounds so plastic and like it’s from TV Guide but it’s true.)
10 years for the Dallas cop
I actually think that’s reasonable.
I can’t imagine what he can say in this book!
Incidentally, I’m about half way through this book.
It’s a real page turner. Reads like All The Presidents Men. The work they did to get Weinstein is really impressive. I didn’t fully understand what a scum he was either.
She seems way too young to be posting Minions memes, I thought that was strictly Boomer shit.
Ugh. Disgusting. I’ll be the first person to say I have no idea what the right answer is. No one does. One life is completely gone. What’s the right number for the one that’s still here? Who knows.
It’s not too late Amber. Make it happen!
A lot of that stuff is just pig mentality. I worked in a county jail run by the sheriff’s department for a while (sup DblBarrel!) and I saw a LOT of it. They weren’t all terrible, but even the straight arrows would never rat out the ones who were bad. Basically every quality you’ve heard the feds complain about in mafia type applies. Only they truly think they’re the “good guys” so that makes them above the law.
Few years back there was a reality show about an all female police force (or near it, watever) and in the promo one of them was saying something like, “I have to put on my makeup bc you want to look good if you have to kill someone.”
[Cut to chick with bleached hair and high bangs chasing after some tweaker in an alley.]
