Two Moon Junction falls apart without the sex.
I did one of those.
I believe the two were a couple at the time.
It said that any failure to identify the point of origin of produce meant that “consumers have no way of knowing, in the absence of any information capable of enlightening them in that respect, that a foodstuff comes from a locality or a set of localities constituting a settlement established in one of those territories in breach of the rules of international humanitarian law”.
I was going to ignore this post because I can’t do anything about your repression or thinking talking about sex is “creepy”.
Talking about sex is perfectly normal.
In the end though, I agree I do talk about sex a lot. It is for political reasons.
Sexual issues are the next front in the progressive movement. Issue around sex work, female sexual empowerment, #metoo, trans rights, pornography, sex education, gender, female circumcision, polyamory, asexuality and intersexuality are the new battle ground for rights. They are also issues where far too many progressives still hold antiquated and harmful views like “talking about sex is creepy”.
They are are also issues I deal with, and work on, in my day to day life. I’m a white cis middle age guy. I am an ally to those suffering from racism. I can be on the front lines of sexual issues.
Therefore, I have no intention of talking about these issues less. I do find it funny when the issue is something you are not comfortable with you so easily bust out the right wing troupe that talking about marginalized groups or issues is just virtue signalling.
Feel free to put me in ignore so you don’t have to read anymore posts about icky sex stuff.
indeed
Ebert is one of those voices I miss so much. I watch his documentary several times a year just to remind me how to be a better human.
Well it may not be coming across the way you intend, and you probably shouldn’t be blaming that on your audience.
victim shaming ITT
documentary several
Agreed, Clovis I am so glad you said that and I couldn’t agree more. Thumbs up - way up - for the Ebert documentary. If you only have time to repeatedly watch one documentary about a film critic this year, make it this one.
Actually I am going to have to rescind this endorsement. I forgot about Mister America! An instant all-time classic and Oscar favorite, I give Mister America 5 bags of popcorn and maybe movie ticket stub as a tribute to all the film critics out there.
They weren’t.
Read an article on it to double-check facts before posting. Think it was her interviewed in Vanity Fair or Esquire.
Never heard of this. It’s on my list now.
How is that even possible? I can’t imagine being that dead inside.
Supreme Court paves way for Sandy Hook families lawsuit vs Remington to proceed.
In one of the intros to one of the collections, Larson talked about a cartoon where God is on Jeopardy, and how he and his editor (or whoever) agreed that it was essential God be on like a million points and the other contestants on zero, to avoid being perceived as disrespectful. Militantly atheistic indeed.
The Far Side with God was always the funniest to me. There’s one where he’s making snakes and he’s like “Boy, these are a cinch!”
