Arsenal have been the second best team in the PL since Xmas, but their errors make them not anywhere near a threat for top 4. If they didn’t give away points in games vs Burnley, Wolves, Villa that they dominated they would be right there.
They’ve gone from 7 shots a match to double that. Shots conceded are down a third.
xG cleans up if you’re betting Marty.

Besides the red cards and errors leading to goals, Arsenal have been really, really good. Unfortunately being down a man or gifting your opponents goals are not conducive to winning matches.
Who is better though? The only real candidate is Chelsea, who have basically just won a bunch of 1-0 matches.
United would be favored in a EL tie but they’re close. They got well outplayed by a poor Milan.
annoying pk call. Right call, but I think most refs don’t call it if he doesn’t whiff and it goes towards goal.
Absolutely. Typically you can get away with murder after a shot as long as you didn’t really stop it.
Arsenal have been better than West Ham and Leicester since Xmas by far. Those teams should be commended for their play of course.
Arsenal were truly terrible the first 1/3 of the season. Averaged under 7 shots a match. Negative xG advantage. Deserved to be bottom half. Since getting ESR back, Partey healthy, Odegaard in, they’re obviously way better.
City and Chelsea are the only two teams who can lose two of their top players and not be poor. Arsenal were bad without Partey/ESR. Leicester falling without Maddison and Barnes. Pool without their CBs. Everton without their midfielders.

Not saying Arsenal will get t4 next year or anything. Just that we started the season very, very poorly and have played good, but mistake ridden football since.
I think we have more talent than Spurs (bale is only slightly better than willian), but behind city, Chelsea, pool and United.
Meh I don’t mind it especially up a man.
Like every club has been doing this all season
Juve could have used that guy
Allows the wall to jump without consequence, makes it so much harder to score from the range Kane just shot from.

Please can you not use this word as a pejorative? It’s highly offensive to people from the UK and Ireland (appreciate you probably didn’t know this).

Opinion of players unchanged, but most put in good performances today. Probably Arteta’s best week apart from the FA cup win.
Keep if possible
Auba
Saka
ESR
Odergaard
Pepe
Partey
Tierney
Gabriel
Leno
Cedric
Keep for squad rotation/development
Xhaka
Holding
Martinelli
Balogun
Ryan
Sell & replace
As many of the rest as possible but get a CM, LB#2, RB#1 and clear out
Lacazette
Bellerin
El Neny?
Take outside & shoot
Willian

My uncle drove a bright yellow cortina, then one night at around 2am he heard a few noises and looked outside too see a guy starting it, by the time he got downstairs and onto the road the guy was ofski but he still chased him down onto the main road in his underwear.
Edit: Yes the same colour as that Escort

tottenham were such a bummer today, credit to arsenal but no idea how spurs come out so flat in a NLD. Lamela at his best is an instinctual demon on the counter and under Poch he was a hard worker on defense, but sadly his main value the past few years is the 25% chance that his shameless trolling will spark any given game to life. I guess if a game was made for him it might have been today’s, and sure enough we got the whole experience. The goal was absurd but lost in the skill is that in that spot rabona is his only option, he’s the most one-footed player since stoichkov and/or long john silver

Excellent win for my home town team Brighton today.
Another godawful performance from Newcastle on Friday night.
They play each other next week and in all honesty I think I’d prefer a Brighton win next week my hatred for the current regime runs so deep
