There are no crumple zones so maybe it kills the other driver in a car to car accident, but if you hit a pole, tree, or slam into uneven ground then the driver is more likely to die from what I’ve read.
yea, i’ve read a lot about this because ive been involved in a stupid wager for a while that i thought i was winning because i thought the car market was rational. it is maybe the perfect car to decapitate pedestrians, and like, not trying to trigger anyone here, but ive seen it happen. the only reason Im posting this is because i think attacking cybertrucks on the grounds theyre useless and destructive isnt a solid argument anymore. for someone with money to light on fire (again, at that price, you have zero car taste if you buy one). they’re clearly fast and people think they’re cool. thats enough for most idiots.
I think it is fast and i was impressed by the size and mass and acceleration of it, and by all reports the user experience is pleasant. I am a simpleton and am impressed by things like that. i havent gotten to drive one, i likely will not, because of obvious reasons, but ive seen other teslas, they seem like cheap crap compared to this one. I hate teslas. I cant reiiterate that point enough. I have to constantly dodge their shitty self driving on the road and their surveillance affects your insurance policies.
The user experience is pleasant until it locks you in or out or bricks on an update. It’s a shitty vehicle which when it works should be only allowed on tracks because the absurd power it has. But, yeah it’s fucking ugly too, so it’s got that going for it. It’s a rolling intelligence check like those ugly Hummer’s.
I saw a picture of sister-wives loading a cybertruck at a Utah Costco. That was new.
lol, well said, it reminds me of the hummer craze a lot. i wish there was a market for “dumb” cars. my car is pretty stupid (and very impractical) but it mostly does what I ask it to do in the way I want it to do it. how we are losing that as a society and the products we consume is beyond me
Sad trombone sound
It’s a loss leader, kills me when neolibs celebrate the wash post or Twitter losing money
wash post has been blatant psyops for a while, lol, like just look at how that site even makes money. its just push notification rage-tech driven and adtech nonsense meaning to convince you of a particular viewpoint - thats THE WHOLE POINT OF ADTECH. to convince you of something. im so fucking glad i was exposed to george carlin at a young age. he somehow caught onto this before it ever could be a reality. everyone called him crazy for it. insincere people call me crazy, because i am, but you can be crazy and also not wrong
It is that obvious when two women are sister wives as opposed to roommates or lesbians?
The rest of the article is more optimistic. The banks are ready to unload their loans to eager investors. Advertisers are coming back. Twitter has worldwide clout. Everybody is happy. This is fine.
More than two dressed in matching sister-wife stereotypical outfits? Call me biased but yes.
I don’t know what the stereotypical sister wife outfit is. My only exposure to that kind of thing was Big Love, and 2 out of 3 seemed to dress pretty normally, IIRC. It has been a while.
You got any helpful pics?
Damn it I knew you were going to ask that. Hold on a minute I’ll try to find the pic I saw. I thought it was on BS but no.
No luck but similar to this. All the same off-white, with bonnets. Think Amish.
Edit: Found it. Obviously my biases got the better of me. Colors! No bonnets!

Imagine having 5 wives: and they are all ugly.
Our trivia team name on Thursday was “Tesla is the New Volkswagen”.
They wear numbered shirts.
OK, well that would really stick out. I’ve been to SLC exactly one time and I managed to see zero people dressed that way. It was only 2 days and was mostly in an office during that time.
So, how often do they blend in Big Love style?
Also is the assumption that the women in those photos (both representative example and cybertruck) are married to the same dude or might they be two or more groups of sister wives. That’s a larger number than I imagined. I had this impression that they topped out at around 4ish per man. Not sure why I even thought that.
I often walk by the LDS temple in SLC and sometimes see women wearing dresses like this but with otherwise more conventional appearance. IDK maybe they’re in choir or whatever. LDS but not polygamists. At Costco, in a group, I do think FLDS polygamists; they know how to stretch a dollar.
I never saw that show and don’t know that much about the FLDS, except what’s in the news.
Also, the women near the temple are young, are often in pairs, and always, always greet you. They could be missionaries or missionaries in training I guess. FLDS don’t unnecessarily interact with strangers afaik.
I see the cybertruck women were wearing hooded jackets. Maybe that’s why I thought bonnets.

Also the middle one is getting a little flashy with those shiny buttons. Might have to talk to her.
