I have used turo once myself. During the pandemic when there were no rental cars at Ohare for a reasonable price, I was able to pick up a car from the parking garage with ease. My GF used it a couple of times in Vegas to get specific vehicles (Rubicon and new Bronco) when doing some light offroading with family.
We’ve used it quite a few times. Once to try out a specific make/model that we were looking at buying while on vacation. Since my tall ass doesn’t fit in a lot of vehicles it was nice to get a week of regular driving experience and not just a quick testdrive. Pick-up and dropoff for us has always just been at an airport parking lot, no face to face interaction with the owner.

I think most of the people who inherit vast amounts of money keep at least a little private and aren’t usually out trying to expand empires they don’t need. Sure there are lots of foundations (Walmart kids), but the drive to keep making more and more money isn’t necessarily inherited.

You can bet on whether Dittman or Musk confirm they are not the same person. I have a small position on no, since I think it’s likely they are the same, but even if not, they seem to enjoy trolling people by pretending to be the same.
