Canadians feel free to correct me but y’all are stingy af on legal immigrants, you do actually have to have strong skills or the ability to plop down like 300k for a house, to try to get on a path to citizenship. Would expect you take in more asylum seekers per capita than USA#1, but your country is gigantic, room for many more immigrants of various kinds, do better.

Might be a good strategy. Too high an amount and it’s a legal battle and he might end up with zero. If the amount is low enough maybe Musk just pays out this pocket change settlement to make it go away.
It’s a standard statement that you have to include for any state law suit in Texas (i.e. that you are seeking damages from one of a number of specified ranges). Damages over $1 million is the highest range, and in no way limits what he can seek or recover.
