Why do banks sell debt like this? Is it just to diversify? Sounds like it is commonplace.
Banks that do acquisition finance make money originating the loans, not holding the debt. So by selling the debt, they free up their capital to do new loans more deals.
Often too, the price of getting to do the more lucrative part of an acquisition is that you have to put up part of the loan (technically banks can’t tie, but in practice it’s understood). So again the goal is to make lots of money on the acquisition, but then be able to sell most of your debt later.

It really looks like an 8 year old designed it…and not an artsy 8 year old, one like me that didn’t have any ability and patience, would fail art class and took 5 minutes to draw it as they wanted to get back to more important things.

I went on twitter recently for something sports related and was fed 3 elon tweets. All were trump esque rwnj fear mongering. I think two were about immigrants, and one about a right wing protest in Canada against teaching children normal shit. He’s like trump and rogan and alex jones rolled into one with a massive reach and full control over a huge media platform. Not great.
Also I stand by my statement that the cybertruck is the ugliest car ever made.
