Elon Musk: I, for one, welcome our new pasty overlord

New twitter ad. Fun times ahead.

The worker, who was not identified in the report, told inspectors that the matter had not been addressed and that safety officials at the company do not “have the reading comprehension nor the overall competency to implement a safety plan at the Redmond site.”

That $3600 fine will definitely get their attention.

Some Cybertruck owners say their fellow Cybertruckers are blowing things out of proportion, and one said it’s a good idea to not “…drive it in the rain, or get it wet.”

LOL

“Others are in favor of their Cybertrucks developing orange stains, saying that they’re looking forward to the patina the stainless steel may develop.”

It’s a feature.

In fairness. Rusted brown cyber trucks roaming our post apocalyptic present is very on brand.

If this ad appeared on FB, I would expect Elon/X to file a lawsuit against the company. Instead, on X they take the money and run the ad. https://x.com/kvikkjokk007/status/1758204545950191871?s=20

Twitter isn’t even useful for breaking news anymore, which was its one useful function.

Doesn’t speak particularly well that the engineers there have to stay up all night working on this problem imo. I’m not a programmer but seems like it should be easy to just set it up so the counter updates to 100 million or so an hour after each post?

Imagine who would still be working there after 18 months of this garbage. Probably not their best and brightest

Elon could have just paid drill to ghostwrite tweets for him.

X is definitely getting shittier. Any big breaking news post is 90% spam replies, and unlike before, those bubble up to near the top. Porn still shows up at the bottom, but look at this cute animal can be like in the top 10 replies on an AP tweet. Pro-Russia, Pro-Palestine, Pro-Israel replies show up near the top of unrelated tweets.

There’s another reason the replies are getting worse. I think the tide has shifted and a lot of people would rather quote tweet to respond to keep the message on their timeline, rather than reply in thread. Maybe it gets more views due to algorithm riggedness or whatever, but ultimately I think there’s more engagement. And of course these high-quality responses don’t show up in the replies.
