The news probably highlighted the fact that Tesla’s board is more beholden to Musk than to shareholders. Sure, they reversed it this time, but there’s no reason to think the priorities of the board have changed. The market is efficiently reallocating capital from companies like Tesla to companies with boards who are more dedicated to returning value to investors. 
If TSLA incorporates in Texas, aren’t there some issues with just awarding Musk with the same comp package? Because the performance targets have already been met, so it’s essentially just handing him $50B+ for nothing in return?
Or it’s just that all big tech went down a lot on that day and TSLA should have gone down 8% but instead went down only 3%

Only the weakest minds lean toward conspiracies. It indicates lack of the “maybe this isn’t true” thought protocol and leaves you with an arsenal of conclusions you would personally like to be true. Trump is the ur example.
