Elon Musk: Dork MAGA

Despite claiming that the US government should “remove subsidies from all industries,” Musk has made it clear he wants payments from the FCC.

That guy is satire

As usual, Elon is trying to draw the FAA offsides with a hard-count. Maybe they will jump across the line and hand him a launch permit. It’s like he thinks a Starship launch this month counts as an October surprise.

Eric is on board.

There aren’t even Dutch. That’s reason enough to hate them.

Get your hurricane Helene Starlink free! (For 30 days.)*

*But try to sign up for the ostensibly “free” service in an area Starlink has designated as a Helene disaster zone, and surprise: You still have to pay for the terminal (normally $350, but reportedly discounted to $299 for disaster relief, though that’s not reflected in Starlink’s signup page), plus shipping and tax, bringing the grand total to just shy of $400.

According to the Starlink Helene page, new customers who qualify for free access will be automatically moved to a paid $120-a-month residential subscription tied to the location the terminal was set up for after 30 days.

That reminds me, I need to cancel Max by the end of the month…

Silver lining for the Brazilian schoolkids Elon stiffed on the free terminals is at least they’re not on the hook for the monthly access charge.

Yea it makes no business sense. Seems like it would be incredibly easy to game.

“The shockwave blast created by engine ignition and take-off destroyed the pad restroom … the building has been leveled and the system is non-existent,” SpaceX wrote Texas environmental regulators in an email shortly after the launch that was obtained by NPR through a freedom of information request.

Elon literally shitting on the environment. Still no launch license for Sunday. He might get it but also nonzero chance he goes without it. If not, he will be howling about regulatory over-reach and whatnot so something to look forward to either way.

Pennsylvania needs to stop being the worst state in the world and deliver disappointment to Elon. I will forgive all your sins (except Penn State).
