“The valuation trajectory: July 2025, $400 billion. December, $800 billion. February 2, $1.25 trillion after absorbing xAI in the largest private merger ever recorded. February 27, $1.75 trillion. A 337 percent increase in eight months for a company that has never filed a single page of audited financials with the SEC.
The market added $500 billion in implied value in 24 days to a company that just onboarded a subsidiary hemorrhaging cash faster than 80 nations produce GDP.“
There was a 22 poster who would point out to people you can’t add negative numbers to get a positive number. Good poster. Mathematician. Obviously that guy never met Elon Fucking Musk.
That’s more effort than police are willing to put in. If they can’t just show up and arrest or shoot someone on the scene, they usually don’t try to do anything
When I was in college, I got repeated calls from a detective who was working a case involving something that fell off a truck that was picked up by three Mexicans in a truck and was sold for scrap. Apparently my dad was driving the truck. Not knowing any better, I voluntarily went in and was interrogated about this heinous crime. I was pretty pissed off but got through about 20 minutes of questions without losing my temper. Yay me.
To be clear, I was not one of the three Mexicans and didn’t know anything about the crime in question. I was impressed by diligence of the police, if not by the significance of their effort.
