BEGIN ACT TWO NOWWWW
I believe the real star is Tom’s hair. A magnificent mane.
Lloyd Bridges is out of this world in this scene.
Dude used to be cute, now he just looks like Tom Hanks.
If they told me I would meet several versions of 90s era Mega Ryan, I’d take the volcano deal.
“Do you rent anything else?”
omg here’s ossie
I tend to love movies about/set in LA. There’s something about them, I think it’s obvious how much the people making the movie love the city.
LA Story is a good example. Which was my #6 movie.
“You mean stop taking money and leave LA?”
Meg Ryan part 2, still fearful.
I am very high right now but I just realized Meg Ryan is amazing in all these roles.
She is! Fun accents. Pickled peppers routine paid off.
That little grimace from Hanks is beautiful, when he is rejected again.
Act III
We get this surreal montage of Joe on the raft and he has his awakening.
Is this part racist?
or just weird
What is that, a Teddy Bear?
No it’s my soul.
“I’m my only hope for a hero” is my favorite line from this movie.
Okay okay okay see I think I forgot why I liked this movie because every time I tried to rewatch it before, I couldn’t make it past the first twenty minutes. I was in a very literalist phase and had no stomach for the bizarre.
“Away from the things of man” is my instagram name.
So damn good.
Haters, get on it.
