also twitter has to be the WOAT original format for any journalistic media. even if those things were the least bit interesting, which they arent, im not navigating that shit.

Photographer I follow on Instagram was taking sunset photos yesterday and saw a Tesla crash into a railing.
I’m not saying it was on full auto pilot and tried to steer into a small child on the side of the road until the barrier stopped the terminator car’s insatiable blood lust, but it’s possible.

This seems like excellent, even awesome news. So much can be conveyed in 4000 characters that you can not even begin to tackle in 288 characters. Sure when twitter was intentionally launched you only had a meager 144 characters. I honestly don’t even know how Twitter was able to be at all popular let alone useful with such a tiny character count. I can not even state my intended thesis in that few of characters. It was a huge limit on the ability to convey correct information and only useful for those who wish to sow distrust and misinformation. Now we can fully flesh out entire concepts and ideas and not just leave it up to the reader’s imagination. I am not sure what the average character word count is today, but the number five seems to strike a chord in me from a long time ago. That means we are looking at eight hundred word missives. This is just a snack size of writing and something that could easily be consumed with a cup of coffee or bowel movement. Two hundred and eighty eight characters would vanish into the ether before you could sit down for either. I think four thousand words is the minimum that should be allowed and eloquent writers should be allowed at least ten thousand characters or more. Not every tweet will be four thousand characters. Take this one, for example. Nowhere close to four thousand characters, but totally obliterated under a two hundred and eighty eight character limit. There are not enough abbreviations.
