Maybe they can do a soft leave? Mirror posts on mastodon, post and twitter for a while. Make it easier for tweet consumers to jump ship.
I’m sure one could write a Chrome extension to post to all three. But from all the times they mention their phones, it seems like everyone tweets from their damn phone - which would make that much more of a pain I guess.

Can you imagine a young naive 19 year old Reeve Musk watching this scene for the very first time and thinking why are they so mean to the nice embassy guy he’s just trying to be helpful

Probably would be a pain in the ass to hide it, you couldn’t change it so it was obvious that the numbers were moving too fast.
