This won’t backfire on Elon at all. More advertisers will not run away and others not ever join because he made it an inhospitable place for advertisers, nope won’t happen.

I realize Elon has no real experience with advertising funded businesses (from either side). Seems like Elon is quickly learning he doesn’t have the final say or last word, the advertisers do. His $8 gambit was to try and take some of that power away but we all know that even the most optimistic results for Elon will create only marginal revenue.
Now Elon is threatening the advertisers? This is not Tesla where you can just do whatever you want and still make money.
