Douchebag 2.0—an Elon Musk company

I guess if Twitter openly allowing insurrection posting is immaterial, then yes, excellent point.

this seems wishful. i am not even sure what a great engineering org is, but i think that even reading rumors of 25-75% layoffs in the near future would diminish any org, even great ones.

I know nothing about coding but twitter is the simplest software ever no? What can thousands of engineers be doing?

They develop ever more sophisticated ways to direct targeted ads to your eyeballs. I guess firing the engineers makes Twitter less useful for advertisers.

This is basically where we’ve been for at least 20 years in most of the country. It’s the logical endpoint in a society that embraces capitalism in the way the US has. Corporations/business interests take priority over those of constituents, so business interests end up calling the shots in every level of society for most important things.

I mean, Florida’s legislature is completely controlled by various business interest groups, for example. The only real political battles occur when business interests conflict. In some rare, situations you can also have the interests of some wealthy enclaves driving policy issues, too, like in the case of DeSantis getting behind the fight against harmful algal blooms.

Mr. Robot definitely real.

elon remains master businessman.

they probably meant that everyone’s monthly vest is on the 1st. that depends on the servicer most times.

All I have ever had is quarterly vesting schemes vesting in the month after results are announced which means people wouldn’t get their November/third quarter shares.

I’ve seen several instances that layoffs so close to a date like this would get a big frown from the legal system. Of course that was before the current court shitshow.

Wow! I don’t think anyone could have predicted this:

Vibe shift from “The law simply will not allow…” to “The market will simply not allow…”

So he didn’t go far enough? Good point.

I saw the head of legal’s contract had all his shares vest upon firing like 38 million dollars worth.
