This is what happens when Elon hires a financial firm after his offer to do due diligence on twitter itself.
Why the hell do you make an offer on a company that loses money operationally and then throw $22B of debt on top of that? And your biggest change is to add an edit button? Charge twitter users?
What a laughable adventure that would not have happened if he wasn’t drunk when making the offer.
Seems like the most likely outcome is twitter tries to force it, it falls through, there’s a lawsuit, and 5-10 years from now the lawsuit gets settled and Twitter gets some kind of payment from Musk but who the hell knows how much.
Since then, AT&T has been a crucial source of funds flowing into OAN, providing tens of millions of dollars in revenue, court records show. Ninety percent of OAN’s revenue came from a contract with AT&T-owned television platforms, including satellite broadcaster DirecTV, according to 2020 sworn testimony by an OAN accountant.
Herring has testified he was offered $250 million for OAN in 2019. Without the DirecTV deal, the accountant said under oath, the network’s value “would be zero.”
If you’re the CEO and you tweet that Elon Musk is maybe going to buy your company are you:
A. Trying to drive the stock price up so you can sell some and make a profit?
B. Trying to drive the stock price down because you’ve secretly shorted the stock?
Look if you’re not paying close attention ready to take over at any moment when the AI driving your car decides an accident is unavoidable that’s on you.
I have no idea what is going on here. What’s the joke? The juxtaposition of ultrawhite dude Musk and some black stereotype is just funny? Or does he really think Musk is black? Or does he know Musk is white but it’s funny to pretend he’s not? If he knows, is he playing on his idiot supporters not knowing and that’s funny to his fellow jackasses on stage?
