Not really related but what the hell, itâs a funny story: Mark Twain tried a vibrating platform Nikola Tesla had developed. It was supposed to have a therapeutic effect and Twain liked it. He liked a little too much. Tesla warned him to step off after a while or he might poop himself. Twain ignored him and had to run off to find the bathroom when it took effect. Donât know if he made it.
The machine Twain used probably had pneumatic actuators. Later versions used electromagnetic coils. As we know, Trump likes pneumatic (steam) catapults on aircraft carriers and hates the electromagnetic versions. He would not have approved Teslaâs improvements.
