You’ve admitted many times you’re not very knowledgeable about recent US politics and history. Some people on here are and they used what they know to make some pretty accurate predictions about how this would all play out. It’s laughable that you’re projecting your own lack of knowledge out onto them and calling them “lucky idiots”.

Yes we all believed that the supreme court would be complicit in delaying and/or ending some of Trump’s federal cases. We all knew that the federal judiciary has been packed with Trump sycophants and had a high probability of being a factor. The Georgia sex scandal is incredibly stupid because there is 0 conflict of interest there. It takes some Charlie Day level string drawing to get from two people fucking connected to Trump not getting a fair trial.
The legal system regularly fails to hold the rich and powerful responsible in almost all cases and has never seen a defendant who has his hands on so many levels of power as Trump. It is 0 surprise that the only case seeing a courtroom at a reasonable pace is the one that even if a conviction is reached also has a high likelihood of no consequences.

Part of a much larger back and forth where i predict the J6 case won’t make it to trial before the election because Trump will maximize delay. This was literally the day of the indictment.
Acting like people weren’t predicting something very similar to what happened is just not honest. And no it didn’t take a genius to predict that. Just any knowledge of LOL LAW and basic criminal defense strategies.

For sure there have been some goalpost shifters.
But his main problem is that he is lumping in the non goalpost shifters with them. I think the most common position is just no significant criminal consequences. Especially no jail time.
People counting shame or these lol $1000 fines as consequences are not serious people.

I agree with this. Some just said all along that there will never be any serious consequences. I actually think this is a reasonable take. If he fails to win re-election, I disagree, but it’s reasonable.
However, this is not what any of my bets are based on. They all involved would he get indicted and will he be convicted. Indicted happened 4 times over and there was more than enough time for the more serious of these indictments to go to trial and receive a verdict. That a trifecta of events occured at the last moment to thwart ALL 3 of them before election was a long shot to say the least that no one could have possibly predicted
Trump judges at the trial court and appellate levels allowing him to delay trial was discussed extensively. That’s what happened.

The delay in the Atlanta trial was a complete self-own by the prosecutor. Maybe it would have been delayed regardless, but the judge did seem like he was moving the case ahead, until all the stuff about the relationship came out.
If they turned off that damn racket he could maybe catch a few winks.
