Yeah, my read was he definitely forced a hug on her knowing she’d catch shit for hugging Trump.
I think this is exactly right. People find it surprising that someone can be “smart” enough to create Amazon or SpaceX, but “dumb” enough to support Trump. But part of the skillset it takes to become a hectabillionaire is being psychologically imbalanced and obsessive enough to make a billion dollars and then keep grinding at full effort to make even more money. It makes perfect sense that someone who’s unbalanced and obsessive would fall for Trump’s shtick.
It does also explain why silver spoon billionaires like Buffett are a bit stabler. If I started a company in my garage and made a billion dollars from it, you can be damn sure I’m going to take a break and spend the rest of my life playing video games and reading novels on my private island. But if my dad started a PE fund for me and I turned out to be good at running it, I can totally see myself keeping it going indefinitely, buying a few railroads if I see an interesting play, or doing some complicated financing when there’s a market panic that creates opportunities for a giant pool of cash to be put to work. That sounds fun!
What stands out to me with Buffett’s story is how often he fucked up. But crucially, he learned from his mistakes and was honest. I always found Munger a much more impressive human.
For me, it stopped being surprising a while ago.
Greatest first 100 days in our lifetime!
Like they say, you gotta shrink to grow sometimes. S&P futures down 1% immediately.
The best part of Trump’s second-term first 100 days is they’re over.
So when it was a great time to buy a few week’s ago, that was because of Biden?
Ponied because you decided to type words and stuff
I see Biden’s stock market is still going this morning. Hoping we might get a few hours of a Trump stock market later today.
millennials will never get that joke.
Stock market goes up, it’s mine! Stock market goes down, it’s Biden’s!

Never a miscommunication
Republicans spent the 90’s giving Reagan credit for the Clinton economic boom, this nonsense could actually work.
Anyone advocating for any woman nominee hasn’t been paying attention the last 15 years
Trump was president twice because of this. Literally any male would have defeated him twice.
