They did for about 1.5 videos where they both had jean jackets onâŚ
Theyâre at least both old guy music
I can see making the Springsteen / Mellancamp comparison if you havenât listened to much Springsteen. I bet a large portion of people who would not describe themselves as Springsteen fans (and who have heard of John Mellencamp) would say theyâre similar.
IIRC, Mellencamp was once described as a poor manâs Springsteen. That seemed right at the time, but like Springsteen and Dylan before him, he rejected what people wanted him to be. Heâs not in the same league as the others but I respect that he did what he wanted to do. He wrote a few memorable songs. Good for him.
NPR hourly news says Trump was on the phone with Walmartâs CEO Doug McMill[i]on today. No details so we donât know who kissed whose ass. Edit: Oh, it was Bessent on the phone, not Trump. Ass-kissing less likely.
Bessent claims they said they will eat some of the tarriffs ![]()
The ability to recognize reality is insignificant next to the power of bullshit.
One guy sucks, the other sucks more.
The lesson here is just keep your mouth shut and raise your prices.
-or-
Just pull a Trump and say your going to lower your prices while you are actually rasing them?
Itâs not like Walmartâs target demographic has anywhere else they can afford to shop, no way MAGA boycotts Walmart. Theyâd starve.
LOL at this being a âcontroversyâ.
Itâs basically people who are willing to say âYo, thatâs a fucking bribeâ and people who arenât willing to say that very obvious thing because they fear Trump and/or slurp him.
gotta love the medicaid work requirements kicking in on Jan 2029. Hmm⌠what happens around then?
Yeah. Fuck me. The headlines on this have been terrible
âTrump accepts unprecedented bribe from foreign powerâ should not be a difficult headline to write. And these fucksticks think they are standing between us and fascism.
If Trump tells them not to eat, wellâŚ
They are. Theyâre holding the door open.
Cliffs: A provision in the proposed spending bill would restrict the authority of federal courts to hold government officials in contempt when they violate court orders.
(even if sentenced to probation or no time in jail at all).
There is no way sure way to stop them from passing this. In theory it could be stuck down by the courts but in practice Trump gets his way by delaying. The system is nowhere near fast enough to respond.
