We are going tomorrow, how was the show?
I was so into Springsteen when I was in high school, particularly The River and Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. Born to Run also I guess now that I think about it. He’s definitely not a go-to for me anymore but I have a ton of fondness for that time and music.
I was also really into The Doors at that time, but that definitely did not last and it is extremely rare for me to listen to them today.
Doors still rock.
Seat was hard and I should have brought warmer clothes, but Bob and Willie exceeded my expectations. Bob played a lot of old songs. I think he sounded better than when I saw him 30 years ago. The openers were very good (Billy Strings and Sierra Hull).
One thing. Our seats were quite far and it was dark and Bob does not like to be seen. No spotlights. For the first three songs the screens weren’t even on. When they put them on they weren’t really any closer up. He and the band move so little that I thought the screens were frozen a bunch of times. From our seats you couldn’t even tell which person was Bob and I didn’t know until he played harmonica and I could sorta make that out. It’s kind of bizarre. You “see” Bob on his terms.

otoh Ronnys shit amounted to nothingburger because everyone finally remembered “oh yeah, people in power have been doing this kind of shit and way worse to hang on to that power, since almost the beginning of time.” Then they all shrugged and went back to their Nintendos and their Arsenio Hall and their In Living Colour and their CC Music Factory and what have you.
My guess is the same happens here, sans any of that cool shit i mentioned above
