Discussion of domain ownership transfer

Whoever makes the worst post each year has to host it the next imo.

Sure I guess I’m trying to remove the idea of ownership.

Whatever works.

There’s no collective to get together and the individual has to be someone that most people know, but essentially never fights with anyone and is willing to do it. That’s a very very short list.

Simp would own the site again?

If we assume good faith, there should be a way to find a group of people and share the credentials to the domain with them. Sure, someone could change the credentials and go rogue so make sure there aren’t any assholes in the group…

Do you mean give multiple people the login? I’d have to disable 2FA but otherwise it might work. I don’t think it would prevent me from doing something bad if I lost my mind, but there would be continuity if I disappeared.

Yeah, I’m not aware of a way to automatically share ownership of a domain that is going to withstand someone who wants to do something bad. It would prevent hassles if someone losses interest in the site or dies or something, but short of getting lawyers involved I don’t see a way to truly spread ownership of the domain with multiple people that would prevent shenanigans.
