Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

He is a literal Republican.

Why why why why why! Look fats, we can do push ups, but if you don’t like my AR-14 position vote for the other Biden.

This is Super Shitty Tuesday. Can’t wait for those FL results, and the MI results will be the nail in the coffin and he should drop out tomorrow.

Boy how awful would it be if progressives were challenging every entrenched Dem in a primary. Can’t have that!

Kind of. The phenomenon is more accurately described as the eDems having chased the Rs to the right as the Rs move right, so that they now are very similar to, say, 1990s Rs. I know I’m not telling you anything that you don’t already know, the Overton window is well understood here. But its important to remember that the actual Rs have moved to fascism and are much worse.

Just consider last Monday how likely it was that Bernie would be dropping out of the race in eight days.

I don’t think he’ll drop out until after next week, but today’s results may be such that I will be on the let’s hide Biden in the basement team and don’t want the next debate to happen because if and when Bernie crushes him it can only help Trump.

Oh who am I kidding. Biden could fall asleep, drool, and accidentally talk to himself about feeling up teenaged girls and the media narrative would be that Joe properly dismissed Bernie’s radical proposals with the inattention and sarcasm they deserve.

It helps Trump a lot more if Biden’s weaknesses are ignored for months. Remember Bernie saying he didn’t give a damn about Hillary’s emails?

If Frum thinks it’s impressive…

'90s Republicans were already going crazy as the ongoing shift of white conservatives upset over civil rights was coming into full effect. Establishment Democrats are a lot like Rockefeller Republicans, who were waning by the '90s.

I gave a damn about Hillary’s e-mails. Not because I think there was anything illegal going on, but because I thought that her use of a private server was intended to be a legal way of getting around FOIA and demonstrated that her instincts ran in the opposite direction of government transparency.

I’ve always thought Bernie was wrong not to press that point and he’s wrong if he doesn’t point out that, while the Burisma thing is stupid, Biden’s failson getting a job like that is part of the institutionalized corruption of the political establishment that someone like Sanders would like to end.

“He was a career politician. He had — he did not work until he was like 41 and then he got elected to something. It was all just baloney and I feel so bad that, you know, people got sucked into it.”

To her criticism, Sanders responded: “Unlike Secretary Clinton, I don’t want to relive 2016. We’re in 2020 now.”

Bernie made the right call going on Fox News. He wants another upset in Michigan where he takes that state’s delegates like he did against HRC in 2016. Fox News is a huge part of making that possible. Like it or not, Michigan is Fox News country. It’s been the most popular news network since 2002. Even liberals get their news from it. We just think we’re better at discerning the facts from the spin.

Pretty sure if congressional dems don’t support basically every incumbent trust is broken and the caucus blows up. There’s a reason for the rule, and it isn’t because it always results in support for Pelosi’s favorite candidate.

This story was almost certainly third-hand BS.

Cmon bro. There’s a difference between staying neutral in a fight against a bad incumbent versus cheerleading his campaign. I think the caucus would understand not giving a full throated endorsement to a guy who votes with Trump 70% of the time, and whose campaign is funded by private prisons. His district is deep blue ffs.

if biden ends up winning the presidency and warren ends up with nothing (because of course she will), can we come back and do an “I told you so” then? or will there be another 3d chess reason for warrens actions?

For the last couple months we’ve been on a path that will quite quickly lead to a lot of pain for a lot of people while still doing nothing on climate change. warren is at best playing to bring about a really shitty scenario

Why is this 3D chess? I’m saying she’s not endorsing to preserve her political power and maybe gain more. Her critics agree! The only difference is that I think it’s good for her to have political power.

You can say I told you so if you want, but I never said Biden will for sure give her a cabinet position. It may even be unlikely as you suspect, but it’s way more likely than her endorsement post ST having made any difference whatsoever.

Bernie discovering a mere majority of TEN votes made him mayor of Burlington

Seen this photo so many times, but today I just saw the newspaper tacked to the wall for the first time. God damnit. After getting absolutely shit on by everything and everyone for 40 years Bernie didn’t give up, but people continued to let him down. He really was just way ahead of his time. Now we’re left wondering if that time will ever actually come.

It will come, brother. We see the change in fits and starts, but it is happening. It will come.
