Who told you there would be no means testing? There’s definitely means testing. You don’t get the UBI if you’re on government assistance. You def get the UBI is you’re on corporate welfare.
I’m not on team Yang. The problems with his plan are not problems with UBI per se.
The problem is that it’s a regressive, means-tested system that gives the smallest benefit to the poor and the maximum to the rich. You don’t have time for this bullshit. Businessbros are not going to save us. 12k/yr for laid-off factory workers is not going to save us. We need an actual social revolution.
