When I was in college my dad passed away.
My mom almost immediately ran off ten hours away to marry a neo-Nazi cop that she had an affair with and had moved in with right after I was born. She took the insurance money for herself, actually stole some money from the SSA intended for my sister, and my brother, sister, and I were forced to disperse to friends’ houses because we had little money. My siblings were still in high school so this was pretty weird and I had to do a lot of work.
Since my siblings and I were all in different places and somewhat vulnerable, we could not keep the family dog so he went with my mom. The plan was for my siblings and I to move into a new place together within a few months as I saved up some money for a place. When that happened, we would go pick up the dog.
Well, the neo-Nazi cop owned a K9 German shepherd who didn’t like my dog so they just put my dog down within two weeks. Could have called and said come pick up the dog and I would have been there within a day. I was told the dog went to live on a farm, seriously, but when I demanded more info of course I was not allowed to go see or pick up the dog.
Long-winded story to say that Trumpers are the scum of the Earth and they kill dogs for no reason. RIP Max.

How did we get to the point where occasionally saying “problematic” things on a podcast is as important as real-world actions which actually fucking murder people? The problem here is people for whom politics is a game and policing discourse is chess moves in that game. It’s insane.

It is pretty disturbing how many people care about what he says a lot more than what he does. If only he could present himself well when he very seriously talks about how immigration is good, but must be legal and regulated, Solemani was a serious threat and there is credible intelligence and Space Force isn’t just a silly Mel Brooks movie. Then it’d all be pretty ok.

If he said the same things and opened the borders, brought back the military, fulfilled the Paris accord obligations, ended the drug war, closed private prisons, etc, it would be fantastic regardless of whatever he said and I’d be real happy.
Otoh, if he said every perfect thing and policy was just as is, it would suck just as much, probably more because so many people who just care about what is said would be happy instead of wanting him impeached.
Damn dude that’s super fucked up, I’m really sorry. Glad your dog had some life with people who really cared about him and loved him though before those monsters put him to sleep.

Thanks guys. I guess it’s possible the German shepherd killed my dog and my Mom didn’t want to admit it. I don’t have hard evidence.
I think this is confusing Twitter drama for shit that matters. Is anyone really not voting for Bernie because he tweeted the Rogan endorsement? Saying Rogan fans already knew probably overestimates the extent to which people are informed about political goings on. I think this whole furore is probably net positive for Bernie.
