Crowdsourcing UP's Favorite Movies (NOW BRAINSTORMING: the 1970s)

Thanks for the thread and the effort. These are just what I happen to have on DVD from the 90s. Mostly I got these at thrift stores for $1-$2. I pick them up if I might some day have the urge to watch them again. And now I have a media server so…

I like this version but it didn’t come out until 2003.

I think I’ve seen everything that came to mind right away mentioned except

Before Sunrise

Hoop dreams

Hands on a hard body

American movie

Before Sunrise is truly outstanding. It doesn’t seem to almost ever be on regular streaming though, unfortunately.

It’s very manageable to hammer out that whole trilogy pretty quickly once you get into it. Three movies totaling less than five hours (part 1 runs 1:40, part 2 runs 1:20, part 3 runs 1:50).

I have to give this some more thought.

But I wanted to say thank you to LKJ for getting this started. All too often these thing become wild ideas that never turn into wild swings. Someone has to take the initiative.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually powered through them as a triple feature. I need to correct that ASAP.
