Been seeing random news stories pop up due to the location on Long Island. Decided to check ticket prices for the weekend. Netherlands vs. South Africa on Saturday is about $60 + fees on StubHub. Not bad. India vs. Pakistan on Sunday? $800 + fees to get in the door!
Glad to see Uganda hold Afghanistan to 183. Was expecting this match to be a laugher.
The stadium doesnt hold many people.
India vs Pakistan was in Australia in 2022 for this tournament and sold out a 100k stadium within 15 minutes of going on sale.

Yep very standard in rain effected games. If it only rains for a small period the march can restart as normal or llay a shorter game with less time for each to bat.
The umpires use a mathematical formula to figure out the new target score when the number of overs to bat changes. The more wickets you have saved up helps the batting team set a total. Had Scotland been 5/90 after 10 overs and it rained, Englands total to chase would have been smaller than if Scotland were 0/90 as they were (less outs = more chance to score more runs at the end).
Its a shame but very standard. Not enough time/resources to have spare days for any games that arent the semi finals or later.

Yep. Tournament points split and the results are thrown out for the sake of Net run rate (which is like points difference/goal difference to break ties in the standings)
sucks that you lose 25% of your tourney, but like you said I guess its a scheduling thing. Surely they could have just come back at 8am today and finished it lol
TV and other scheduling issues. Only so many TV crews and flights etc… its a shame but there are allowwd to be games with shorter conditions.
