Hot Take: NBA players should be allowed to travel unless engaged defensively. No one is covering Westbrook. Why should he get penalized?
It makes the rules a lot easier when traveling is not allowed at any point otherwise then you have to put language in as to what is âcoveringâ someone. If someone is within 10 feet are they covering the guy? It makes an easy rule like no traveling even more complex when saying itâs allowed in this situation and not that situation
I didnât think he was looking for a serious response, but this would be it. There is no need to give refs another judgement call to make (i.e. âwas he engaged by a defenderâ). They canât even handle the ones they have to make now.
