Soooolidarity Foreeeeeeever!
The IG post she linked said sheâs doing it because frontline workers donât have the time to worry about theirs, and she can make five hand-sewn masks in the time it would take her to dye her hair. Apparently sheâs making and donating a lot of masks to frontline workers. So, better than most, I guess.
No clue who the fuck she is though.
lol oh dear. At the time I thought theyâd accidentally killed her.
and buried her, hence the sniffer dogs positive on the car boot.
I thought theyâd drugged her as a problem child to give themselves a break but accidentally double-dosed her.
Pic of cute sniffer dog so we arenât condemned for derailing.
I must be the only person who watched that Netflix documentary and came away thinking well thereâs no way they did it.
I havenât seem that documentary but there were a few inexplicable aspects of the case.
Then again I thought OJ and Amanda Knox were guilty as sin, so what do I know?
Itâs a while since I saw it, but you take a random 48-hour period in anyoneâs life and youâre going to find some stuff thatâs hard to explain. It seemed to me that all the theories of them doing it hinged implausibly on a bunch of people who were at the tapas restaurant with them inexplicably colluding to help them cover it up, or on the McCanns being these improv geniuses who were able to hoodwink everyone at the drop of a hat.
That versus âOpportunistic predator snatches unattended child, sadly never caughtâ. Iâm not going to say that happens all the time, but it does happen. And it happened a lot more often back when people were very lax about attending their children.
I thought there were too many inexplicables: blood dog and corpse dog positives in the apartment, car boot and on Kate McCannâs clothing; her refusing to answer 48 police questions.
Without those it looks like a straightforward child abduction.
I donât remember all the details but didnât the documentary say that child abductions from someoneâs home is something that almost never happened in Portugal?
Obviously that doesnât make it impossible but itâs odd if this is the only case.
Being that lax may be criminal, but people can be idiots. Not sure the media did them any favours either way.
I thought the corpse dog stuff was debunked? And anyone answering questions from the cops without a lawyer present is a chump. Got to be a large percentage of wrongful convictions start with someone in an interrogation room telling themselves well theyâve nothing to hide.
Havenât seen or found the dog debunking.
I thought the police interview was conducted earlier than that - donât blame her for not answering any questions if she had already been declared a suspect.
So for me itâs down to the dogs.
The debunking isnât really specific to the case, itâs more general, though itâs usually tied to that case because itâs so famous.
Sniffer dog evidence has been the subject of research questioning its reliability, and in one US court case, a judge agreed with analysis of three cadaver dogsâ performances which found they were wrong 78 per cent, 71 per cent and 62 per cent of the time.
Now âin one US caseâ may not be saying a whole lot, but forensic science has turned out to be so consistently full of quackery and outright fraud that Iâm not inclined to give much benefit of the doubt, if youâll pardon the expression
