One of my good buddies actually recommended this to me. While true I know him from going out to the desert and dropping acid and listening to music etc, he’s a super cool guy and not a hippy at all. There were no drugs involved at all.
Said his 10 day silent meditation retreat was one of the craziest experiences of his life. He’s a pretty normal dude but he really has his shit together. Said this was probably the most transformative thing he’s ever done in his life. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

I thought Ireland celebrates SPD as a somber holiday? It’s the rest of the world that thinks it’s a day to party.
The thing is, I know people who do shit like that, and ayahuasca. They all the same stuff about how it completely changed them, but then they seem to have pretty much the same problems and neuroses as everyone else. Like me after 8 years of therapy still doing the same dumb shit.
Although one guy did claim he immediately stopped drinking and doing drugs after ayahuasca. And TBF I have grown a lot in those 8 years and stopped having coke benders that knock me into a black hole for a week. But that might have happened anyway.
That’s Temple Bar in Dublin. On a normal St. Paddy’s Day, that street would be a river of vomit by 11pm.
It was the antics of gobshites in Temple Bar last Saturday that got every pub in the country closed.
