Urban dictionary has an entry from 2004 for plug used as a drug hookup. I’m like you, in that I was unfamiliar with this usage until recently…and I’ve been using their services since the 90s.

I’ve heard “plug” before but “connect” more often.

According to Snowfall, Black men in the drug trade in LA in the 80s referred to their source as the “plug.”

haha def not a zommer thing, I’ve heard plug for at least 15 years.

Lots of early gucci mane (most popular early trap music, lots of my drug dealer buddies would listen to him all day serving) has the term in the lyrics such as this song which is from around 06

It fits in with the connect terminology because you have the plug that connects you with the product

Pre-internet a lot of slang like that was geographic not generational.

The’ve used a few slang words here but settled on “Got” for the dealer & “Get” for the man in the know.

Simple but effective :relaxed:

She thought she was the next Uri Geller but couldn’t keep it up for a single show

That’s a real piece of shit.

My mum interviewed Uri Geller once. He did his spoon bending shtick but she came away highly dubious, I’m proud to report.

I remember the stereotype of antivax liberals, which struck me as dubious.
