What the fuck airlines are the morons gonna flight now?
Oh that’s right, they are going to buy and fly their own planes.
Australia became the surprising focal point of an American anti vaccine mandate protest march for teachers in New York City overnight, with hundreds of demonstrators chanting “Save Australia” and some waving Aussie flags.
lol
Delta
Did anybody’s COVID start a lot like a cold for the first few days. Got mild cough, nasal congestion and headache. The lack of a fever has nurses at this place unconcerned about anything significant.
That sounds close to my experience. I never ran a fever, and the main symptoms I experienced were a bad headache a mild cough and fatigue. Felt like I was hungover for about 10 days.
I had cold symptoms that turned out to be a cold. First one I’ve had in two years, and it was surprising. Like with all the precautions I take to avoid covid, how do I catch a cold? But not catch covid? It never got too bad, but the snottyness lasted a couple of weeks, and I’m just now getting close to 100%.
I’ve talked to a few people that have had that here ¶. None tested positive but I wonder I breakthrough cases only test positive for a couple of days?
My neighborhood clearly had a cold after interacting with a toddler grandchild that had a cold (all at the daycare tested negative). Typical 10 day. The neighborhood had alpha in 2020 and then got Pfizer this spring).
So for what it’s worth colds do seem to be making the rounds, especially if you are around children?
Something passed around my work. Most were just super fatigued, upset stomach. A couple had a fever. The operation manager was sick as shit. In bed all weekend, like legit didn’t get out of bed. Only ate like 3 times and he’s a big dude.
All of us tested negative.
I completely agree it’s weird as hell that with all the protection were doing people are getting sick with random viruses and colds instead of one of the most contagious viruses of all time
I’d assume a lot of people let their guards down somewhat about hand washing and face touching after COVID proved to be not much of a surface dweller, but that’s not the case for all viruses of course.
My vaccinated 16 year old got sick after a week back in school, pretty classic bad cold symptoms. They tested negative, then I got sick with the same symptoms. I didn’t bother getting tested because it seemed pretty clear to me I caught what my kid had, which was apparently not COVID. But I was extra careful and skipped my once-weekly office day that week.
Yeah that would be my guess as well. I’m definitely much less careful about surfaces
Oddly my work still keeps up the covid sanitizing. It’s wild because it takes a lot of man hours. They don’t use cleaners, they rotate employees. It’s 6 employees who do it for 2 hours every day
I don’t think I saw this posted, but the FDA has scheduled an October 26 hearing for the 5-11 year old vaccine.
“We know from our vast experience with other pediatric vaccines that children are not small adults, and we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of clinical trial data submitted in support of the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine used in a younger pediatric population, which may need a different dosage or formulation from that used in an older pediatric population or adults,” said Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, M.D.
Not clear what the timeline for approval looks like after that.
What are they doing between now and the 26th that is more important than this? I mean, get it together.
On the subject of colds, I’ve had about 2 and a half now in the last 4 months (the half being a sore throat that went away quickly while the rest of my family got substantial colds), all due to the little disease vector known as my 2 year old in daycare.
It’s themselves. They may take cues from trump, tucker, Fox News, etc., but then they have to run all that information through their own twisted views of reality.
Sure wait until United tells you how awesome it is.
Brothers friend that is “reluctant” got it in January. Then got Delta recently and ended in the hospital with mid 80s O2 (out now). Apparently the wife got vaxxed after the daughter said no grandkid time if no vax.
Now they are moving across country to be full time near the grandkid. Presumably this idiot will relent under that pressure from the daughter and now his wife.
Okay so the cold thing is just regular cold season then.
Not unusual
SIL is a teacher in austin and came down with covid. Mild so far.
High school mate came down with it florida, on vent before he passed last week.(prolly not vaxxed and likely a HCA nominee)
My kids both have cough/congestion. 10 month old has it worse than 4 year old. He tested negative for covid today. Holy fuck it’s exhausting to stay home with 2 kids.
