Seems like a decent idea, tbh. The overwhelming majority of people who buy their propaganda also want to blow the shot out of them, so might as well try to kill off some percentage of voters who might make that happen.
Anything that creates further division in the US is probably good for them. Just like with Russia, I doubt they have any specific objective other than to create more doubt and confusion.

It’s not in anyone’s strategic interest to keep COVID live and mutating.
You would think, but its pretty clear that for antivaxxers it is filling a void in their lives to have the opportunity to oppose government action in response to mutations. We have seem that they will literally die for that feeling of being in a special group of Freedom Fighters. If COVID vanishes they won’t have that anymore.

Those concerns echo various local reports about growing threats and violence directed toward medical professionals. In Branson, Missouri, a medical center recently introduced panic buttons on employee badges because of a spike in assaults. Violence and threats against medical professionals have recently been reported in Massachusetts, Texas, Georgia and Idaho.
If someone set the line at 0.5 for a health care worker being killed by an anti-vaxxer in the next six months, we are all snap-taking the over, right?
