COVID-19: Chapter 8 - Ongoing source of viral information, and a little fun

I’m a bleeding heart liberal and have an F150.

I think it’s something weird going on with the way that worldometers (assuming that’s where the graph came from) is either grabbing or presenting the underlying data.

The NY Times data shows Florida experiencing the rise in deaths that you’d expect to follow their rise in cases:

I am most definitely not going to go with a R-b-k-h J-n-s explanation.

Sorry, still in Western Washington!

Don’t truck-shame or I’ll haphazardly secure a bunch of scrap metal to my ladder rack and drive erratically in front of you.

So, F-150, I presume?

Same, even worse I have knobby oversized tires on mine.

You are, uh, one of the good ones.

My last vehicle was an F-150. I loved that truck. Put >340,000 miles on it. Now I drive a Mazda CX-5 :(

We currently own the F150 and a CX-5. Go figure.

This guy was supposedly a right wing radio host:

Won’t be very many right wing radio hosts left at this rate.

Speaking of which, anybody see any updates on Phil Valentine?

My last PU was an F150, which I had because I didn’t have/want to spend the money for a comparable 10 year old Silverado which was about $2k more.

I was so excited that our district had imposed a mask mandate. And it turns out that I am just a gullible dumbass.

Our district is allowing exemptions to the mandatory mask policy for religious, medical, or mental health reasons. Exemptions do not require approval from a medical professional, are completed/submitted via a simple google form, and are automatically approved.

Great fucking job.

I wonder how the masked kids will respond to the kid who says he’s not wearing one for “mental health” or “religious” reasons. Is peer pressure still a thing?

The kids not wearing masks will be trained by their parents to scream “HIPPA!!!” over and over and over again if anybody says anything to them.

The masked kids will be in the minority, and they’re going to be the ones bullied for wearing face diapers.

When the kids get old enough to have an opinion about it there are tons of kids wearing masks when their parents (fathers anyway) don’t.

Drop the voting age to 16 or even 12 and a lot of things will improve.
