Wearing a mask is kind of a tell of being someone who understands about probability, so possibly -EV. Depends on what money value you put on Sklansky-infecting your regular social contacts.

27k cases in the US yesterday. Eyeballing the graph that looks like the most in about 2 months. Seems not good. Anecdotally my wife’s hospital is up about 100% in Covid admissions in the last month or so.

I really think anyone that goes on TV this is vaxxed and then anti-vaxx rants should be arrested.
I was going no mask at poker 2 sessions ago. Last session, I made a comment to a dealer about the house requiring them to wear masks, because 90%+ of them were. She said they weren’t required for the majority of dealers who were vaxxed. I put my mask back on.
It’s a psychological edge at the very least. They wondering if you been vaxxed, are you sick, why you wearing a mask.
Definitely keep the mask on just for the poker related benefits.

Pfizer and HHS are apparently having a spat over whether to tell people to go out and get the latest delta variant expansion pack. I am not any kind of expert, but I plan on getting as many shots as I can.
I got a Pfizer and a Moderna, are there any other mRNA ones? JnJ isn’t approved here and neither is Sinopharm. AZ seems not as effective…I guess a 2nd of both won’t hurt
I was a little cutesy by calling it an expansion pack, what I mean is that they’re making a booster shot for the delta variant. Given that all the vaccines seem to work pretty well and there’s seems to be long-term immunity, it maybe makes sense to hold off on telling everyone to go get it. You could have a situation where people get tired of getting the latest version and they don’t get a booster when we really need them too. I’m not a policy guy, idk.
Still, surely can’t hurt to expose your immune system to as many COVIF antigens as possible.
I’ve been playing without a mask because now that I’m vaxxed, I feel it’s my duty to contribute to community spread and kill off as many anti-vaxxers as possible.

Man it’s gonna be unpleasant if I have to get a shot that’ll make me feel like dog shit every 4 months or so.
I wanna say I hope for your sake the side effects are different every time, but then that would have to apply to me too, and I had zero side effects for either shot first time around and want it to stay that way lol.

How many are you at so far? With the ease of getting vaxxed here, you could get just about as many as you want (as long as you omit or lie about your vaccine history when going in for each jab).
