COVID-19: Chapter 7 - Brags, Beats, and Variants

I would probably at least try to get it. You have in person interactions with patients, you have a kid on the way who you want to be around and in full health for, and you have a wife with some comorbidities and who I’m guessing can’t get the vaccine (even if it were generally available) because of her pregnancy.

This pandemic has seen lots of morally questionable acts, but you getting the shot if it is being made available to you is not one of them.

And it isn’t all upside, due to the whole 5G gates tracking chip they’ll be implanting.

agree with trolly. Twisting yourself into knots trying to satisfy a hypothetical vs a known situation where you can protect yourself and someone who’s at risk and may not have a chance to get vaccinated soon is not debatable. get it done and let us know how it goes.

I agree that you should get the shot. They’ve determined its your time to get it, so get it, and don’t feel guilty. Your kindness and thoughtfulness though says a lot about you.

Thanks everyone. I’m overthinking it and really appreciate the input. I’ll be in the car at 6am tomorrow.

I’ve noticed the drones don’t bother following me around anymore. Not hearing the stupid buzzing sound is a definite plus.

I think you should give your shot to somebody who hasn’t gotten laid in 6 months

Wat?

Yeah that death isn’t really satisfying at all. Feel sad for his family more than anything

You should defintely get it man come on, think of your wife not some old rando that you think you’re taking a dose from.

You have to have in person one on one sessions with people occasionally and this gets you to the front of the vaccine line? What about all of the people that have to spend 8-10 hours per day in rooms and buildings surrounded by others, nice system we got here.

I feel like their efficacy after one shot is around 50%.

Would be insane to lose 45% protection.

But let’s gamble coin flips!

Ummm err uh ahhh

Nate posted about the 1 shot thing. I’m sure he doesn’t read my replies but I went off

A. Wow I bet they didnt think about one shot
B. Even if they did I bet they aren’t working on it.

I don’t think you should feel any guilt for getting the shot giving all your circumstances.

Just remember to be as safe as you can be, given your responsibilities for next month.

As someone super stressed because moms is super likely to die if she gets this and isn’t super high on the list, get this shit asap. Zero moral issues here.

What was distribution like for the polio vaccine when it came out? The old folks I’ve spoken to about it said they got it in school and there wasn’t really a choice involved.

Get the shot. It’s not your fault the rollout is inept. Take advantage.

Got tested Monday at 3:10 pm after being around someone that tested positive for about 5 minutes and hovering in the mid 99s. Came back NEG via text exactly 33 hours ago at 12:10 am. Anyone else get results at this hour?

Heartbreaking, young family too.

Someone I’ve met once ran a million errands on Thanksgiving despite having some early stuffiness that she could tell was the beginning of an illness.

Then had twelve relatives over for Thanksgiving dinner.

She pozzed everyone at the dinner except her daughter. Her brother just passed away and a couple others are quite sick. (They are Filipinos; Caffeine says anecdotally they seem to take it worse.)

The kicker: She’s a mid-60s retired doctor.
