I think there’s room to hate the game but not the players. Like, even when there are clinics distributing shots in or proximal to majority-minority areas, privileged white folks soaking up the extras because they’re the ones with the luxury to wait in line for them still kinda sucks, even if they’re acting both rationally and ethically. Turning the line-standers away doesn’t really help poorer POC get their shots when they may not have the time to take off work or the ability to schedule an appointment amidst irregular work hours. Solving that is really hard, though.
I remember him for touching all the microphones in front of him during a pandemic.
Yeah this, well-said. Not saying the people doing it are being unethical.
Virus is forever changing. It may be irresponsible to state vaccine known good against transmission of all variants when this is unknown
I mean you’d think ‘get vaccine and you won’t die from covid (all variants known to date)’ would be a good enough enticement to get a (free) jab
Today is 2 weeks post shot 2 of Moderna. Restarting my gym membership to work off the BMI that made me eligible in the first place.
An expertly applied De Niro strategy.
At this point, there’s nothing unethical about getting shots in arms. Won’t say a damn thing to anyone getting one. We’re at the point where there’s been plenty of time for the most vulnerable. Every person who has gotten a shot is a net benefit to out society.
I don’t know where people are getting this idea from. I have no idea how the virus can transmit if your body is immune to it. It can’t reproduce without taking over your cells.
A three-shot cocktail of social media idiocy, scientific illiteracy and horrendous messaging.

Stopped by the local pop-up clinic. They won’t know until the end of the day if they’ll have extras and they’re not keeping a list, but the guy was super nice and said “come find me at 5:30, I’ll remember you”. It felt encouraging.
Other stuff that happened on Rudy Gobert Day: WHO declared a pandemic, which caused a 5% Not Stonks. Trump addressed the nation to ban travel from Europe. Tom Hanks tested positive.
sorry for grunching a million posts, but what is the post-vax consensus here? playing live poker acceptable after the 2nd vax?
I’m gonna do it.
Its X number of days after the second dose, right? something like 14-21 after the second dose?
Also, I would totally be going to play, but with my wife being in group 2, I will probably wait until she is fully vaccinated before I do.
i got mine 10 days ago. didn’t know 21 days was a thing
I could be wrong to be quite honest. I thought there was something about not being fully immune until X days after the second dose
Alright, I was close, 14 days it seems
“However, immunity doesn’t happen immediately after vaccination. In fact, it typically takes about 2 weeks for your body to build up immunity. Because of this, you can still become ill during this time frame.”
you’re from sac area right? thunder valley or stones operating or do i have to do vegas?
TV is open, I think their poker room is spreading 7 handed right now.
Stones is likely open. I know they had to shut when we went Purple, but being back in Red/Orange they are allowed to open.
That being said, I have confidence issues with playing there after the Postle stuff.
