I suppose I should collect my books and get on back to school :notes:

I got about 30 seconds into that before starting to feel my blood pressure rise.

In the fourth paragraph:

“And any city or state experiencing a spike in cases should keep schools shut“

So what you’re saying is the schools should stay closed? Cool, cool

4 masks, 2 pulled down

Not only that but like, hey, dipshit arguing against masks and distancing now that numbers are going down… how the fuck do you think numbers started going down in the first place?

Surprised to hear that my home town - a small city in TN that voted >75% for Trump in 2016 - has decided that schools will be online only for the time being. Good on them.

Small cpa firm in Michigan again

We had a conference call set up for 3pm, the same software we used while working from home during the shut down

At 2:55 admin sent a teams message “meeting moved to the board room upstairs”

I sent this “I do not feel comfortable in an enclosed space with 10+ people”

Meeting is set for 90 minutes

It’s a huge board room table that sits 20-30, but it’s an interior room

Boss called me and was angry. Vaguely threatened my job, told me to stop being melodramatic

I told him over 600,000 have died worldwide

He said don’t lecture me

Last week the boss brought in lunch for the staff (the rules they posted regarding the lunch room said no community food and 2 person max)

There were 8 people eating with no masks

So yeah

Fuck your self.

How are so many super successful people so dumb.

JFC I’m very glad I don’t work in an office. Not sure I’d be able to keep it professional when dealing with idiots like that.

Because smart/dumb isn’t the real indicator of potential success. It’s nice/mean…and mean wins. And there are a lot of dumb mean people.

Precisely. The direction matters but when it’s so high the absolute amount matters more.

We got a huge rain here today with some flooding. If the flood goes form 12 feet to 10 feet that’s good but if you flood at 8 feet you’re still wet.

Anyone else remember when IMHE predicted 60,000 deaths by 8/4? Well here we are, going over 160,000 deaths. Good thing the powers that be used that “model” for their decisions.

Nowhere near the 50s that seem to be required to crush the curve. Gonna be a long gentle slope on the downside. Lots of area under that curve.

I was just listening to that. Man, I need some new music.
