Once people realize there’s a shortage, people hoard so it’s only going to get worse for awhile anyway. Most businesses haven’t restricted it yet but they’ll start ramping that up soon.
I’m also a cash paying person, fire away. Felt worth it when I got something in change worth more than face value but it’s been awhile.
I live in NY. Our numbers are really good right now, my wife and I both work full time, and my oldest daughter is due to start kindergarten in September. I literally have no fucking idea what we’re doing. Part of it is having no idea what things are going to look like in September. Part of it is that I have no idea.
I’ve only airbnb’d once so don’t know much about it. I thought “superhost” was that they were rated really highly. Maybe that corresponds to people who have a lot of properties? I had thought it was more like people who rented a room out of their house and were really cool.
Obviously grunching as I expect you got a bunch of answers but bc the question pissed me off and just in case you haven’t I’d go with:
"Hi uniformed moron,
This is a gentle reminder that job of the parents in this group isn’t to educate other parents on the severity of this virus and the obvious differences between this and other illnesses.
Rather, our role is to offer suggestions on how we might safely school our children during a global pandemic while minimizing their risk of exposure (and their families) to a deadly contagion that’s killed hundreds of thousands worldwide.
We look forward to your input on this pressing matter.
The test really sucks. It bothered me much more than my gf.
A coworker of my gf was tested elsewhere today. Same swab test. Already got results back. Negative. I didn’t even know it was possible to get results that quickly.
Here are a couple of updated County Level SDI vs. New Cases graphs as of 7/12.
One is from Sumter County, Florida. The other’s from Orange County, Florida. There appears to be some kind of miracle going on in Orange County. I cannot for the life of me think what might be causing that miracle…at all.
I should note that the decision was easy for us because our school already announced distance learning. If they said they were opening up, it would be tougher.
