The traffic in the outer boroughs is getting noticably heavier but Manhattan is still relatively quiet. Manhattan often becomes a bit of a ghost town in the summer anyway with everyone taking off for their various residences in the Hamptons and Fire Island and upstate and Connecticut and wherever else they go. I’m guessing it will be even quieter than usual without the tourists too.
Think all of this increases the likelihood of schools opening in the fall, which sucks obv, but when you handle things well, this is what happens
Americans ‘skip payment on more than 100 million loans’
Since March, Americans have deferred payment or sought relief on more than 100 million student loans, auto loans and other forms of debt, credit-reporting firm TransUnion tells the Wall Street Journal.
As of May, 106 million accounts were “enrolled in deferment, forbearance or some other type of relief,” the Journal reports.
Student loans make up the majority of the total, with 79 million accounts seeking relief.
Car and personal loan payment deferrals also doubled in a one-month period.
Now there is already stuff posted about what a low morbidity rate is in that age group so it’s no big deal.
But
1 coaches
2 many of those kids are obese. They all ain’t massive muscle machines. Also they get that heavy via massive calorie intake, Ya think maybe there are some blood sugar issues?
3 older family members.
Anyone else out there think that some coaches (specifically in college sports) might actually try to get most of their team infected now so that they’ll be able to play the whole season?
Funeral update: I talked the wife’s family into just doing a 10 person service at the outside cemetery and then hosting a gathering in the backyard for a larger group. Whew.
