The blooming onion is literally all they have in their lives. I should clarify, I mean in terms of values. They have no substantive values or beliefs so all they can do for a fleeting sense of satisfaction is chase a dopamine burst from buying something.

Pretty annoyed, I just moved to a new place via a corp rentals website (had to audible since the wsop got closed. it’s a good spot except the guy mentioned the day I moved in that he needs to get the counters sealed. Now I have to coordinate a person coming in here and breathing all over the kitchen, he said he’d get them to wear a mask but like, come the fuck on with this. I told his ass on the phone before we made the deal that I was taking the pandemic seriously.
What precautions should I take? Just stay out of the house for the entire day and then come back in and spray stuff down? Wait a full day?
No one cares in Vegas. There was a giant classic car thing two nights ago where I saw a hundred or so people mingling outside with no masks. Plus the video I posted earlier of the D.
Turn off your a/c, and at the very least stay on another floor if possible or as far away as you can. I think ~3 hours after they are gone is when you should be safe to be in that area without a mask and with virtually no risk of airborne particles.
I then wipe down any/all surfaces, and keep in mind the floor is one of them and sort of strategize that out in terms of what you’re wearing on your feet and what side of the room you start from. I’ve been using rubbing alcohol on the floor, and disinfectant wipes on the counter and similar surfaces.

My initial statement was probably too harsh but I think it’s going to require a significant personal event to get someone who hasn’t been taking things seriously up until now to start caring. Everything else is just numbers on a screen to them.
I guess I thought there could be some middle ground between outdoor peaceful assembly and opening all indoor establishments but no1currrr and nothing can change that so yeah, you’re probably right. Hope My health holds through my inevitable case

Has anyone done a model where we reopen too early, have 3-4 weeks of massive protests, follow that up with massive Fourth of July shindigs, then roll that into staying fully open into the fall season including packed football stadiums?
(Then blame all of it on liberal protesters.)
