Chick fil a is a much better place to work than most other fast food places

CFA is actually quite good at treating their workers.

I doubt christians are really that great at it tbh. Iā€™m guessing Americans are good at it, and a lot are christians.

This reminds me. There is a Donald Trump Burgers in Texas. They burn the word trump into each bun.

I donā€™t know if itā€™s still the case, but Chick fil a used to not allow people to own more than one store. Iā€™ve always thought that Was probably a big reason why they did so much better.

Itā€™s because they truly believe they deserve everything they have based on being such great Christians, and the people that work from them arenā€™t and deserve to live shitty, broke ass lives.

I worked in the home cafe for the owner of 60 Panera Breads and the guy was a complete dick, his family was very nice though.

This is kind of what I think. And for all the Chik fil A love, do their employees make a living wage? Isnā€™t that why they have so many teenagers working for them?

Not that other businesses donā€™t also exploit the worker, but I think the Christians believe in their hearts that it is divine will.

I donā€™t know, just spitballing.

I would have assumed the opposite, though I donā€™t know anything about working in other countries. What makes you think Americans are good at it?

My understanding was that they were generally pretty decent, plus the hated closure on Sundays is actually pretty cool for employees

Obv you have to weigh that vs the owners being shitty conservatives, but also what owners arenā€™t shitty conservatives?

America great at treating their workers seems like a joke.

Labor rights are way stronger in most of Europe compared to America.

You and @hokie - Iā€™m talking about the actual fast food, not the labor practices.

Maybe edit the post? Iā€™ll admit I also thought you were referring to your first sentence in writing your third.

Anyway, Turkey does fast food way better than America. Perhaps not fast food corporations but give me a quality doner kebab over a burger anytime.

Iā€™m pretty sure thereā€™s street food all over the world that is way better than American fast food.

Doner kebabs arenā€™t street food though.

You might be thinking of shish kebab.

No, we have doner kebab in Toronto.

My idea of street food might not be universal, I am thinking of simple stuff you might get from a a food truck for example.

I think of street food as something you can cook in a shopping cart.

I think of street food as roadkill.

This is a fun derail.

IMO street food is something quick to assemble that you can eat while walking. A little messy is fine, but it needs to have some structural integrity.

Yeah thatā€™s a good definition. Like a burger could maybe be street food and fries could be street food but a burger and fries isnā€™t street food because you canā€™t comfortably eat the combo while standing and walking. And a burger is kind of in maybe not street food territory depending on what sort of burger it is. Same with burrito. Like a giant Chipotle burrito couldnā€™t be street food.
