I guess the Casino industry truly is the most evil of them all. They’re going to be the absolute last ones to close. The casinos in Vegas are still operational. I can’t think of any other mass gathering or hospitality industry that it still operational at this point.

My work has increased sick leave from 8 days per year to 20 for this year. Blanket.
I’d been approving additional special leave (paid) case by case.

Wife’s HBCU not only sent students home but demanded professors commute to campus to provide online instruction from on site, but are now realizing they didn’t have web cams on work CPUs so are rush ordering them to be installed by Monday.
Such a bizarre power / control move, right? Just let professors teach from home. Plenty of ways to verify productivity that don’t involve the chair witnessing induction from campus, lol

Everyone losing their mind. Looked at 4 different CV stories on LinkedIn today and 3 had big material mistatements, and this is the ‘smart people’s social media.’ School called until at least 3/31 here in Florida. Still the office is open but people have permission to avoid everyone. Giant ass bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere and a grim temperament. Pretty sure the economy is about to eat shit and no amount of selling bombs is going to solve that problem. I suggest bracing for impact.
Mormon Church is shut worldwide, Catholic Churches are shut in almost all areas that have outbreaks, I thought i heard that a LOT of churches were closed everywhere. Maybe not evangelicals.

It’s been a while, but I think the liquid shock is often something other than bleach, or bleach with other stuff. My pool supply sells jugs of pure bleach for the pool. I think a crate of 4 jugs used to cost me $16
Naaw, pissed off family are a minor annoyance. Pissed off patients are a nightmare. Not to mention patients are going to be much more likely to say fuck it and walk out AMA if they can’t see family. Informed and caring family members in the room are very often an ally to a decent nurse. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard a patient say I don’t want that shit only to hear his wife look over and say shut up and do what your told.

I don’t go to Temple like hardly at all, but I’ve been there and I’m on their mailing list. They are not closing yet. They are just advising sick and old people not to come.
