He doesnāt wield the levers of power. Whatās he going to do that will get him thrown in jail?
I guess if he specifically calls on his followers to get armed and storm the Capitol. But heāll never be that explicit about it.
calling up governors of every swing state, telling them to stop counting ballots etc etc
As suzzer says, thatās a very different thing when youāre doing it as President vs doing as citizen without any official power. I guess if he starts straight up offering them bribes, then that would do it.
He will have legal problems til the day he dies.

Since the Supreme Court has effectively given immunity to Presidents acting in their official capacity - and that pretty much anything a president does in office could be considered official capacity - if you think that Trump was the winner in 2020 (and/or 2024) then he might have immunity for an insurrection imo.
Back-to-back losses should be enough to convince the Republican party to stop bankrolling him but weāll have to wait and see.

Haha oh man that would be the most incredible own goal ever. Most people just skipped right over the Biden comment and assumed Trump went from a comedian calling PR a Garbage Island to continuing the bit days later

Doesnāt matter. Heās got the numbers. If they donāt fund him, he threatens to ruin them with a 3rd party run. They canāt have that, so it will be Trump as long as he wants it to be.

Sure theyāll be less excited, but he can lose some excitement and heās still got a yuuge cult. If you think heāll lose enough to be knocked off the top spot, thatās SSC level.
I was real uncomfortable with people counting Trump out four years ago. I thought he still might have some legs yet. But now that he is a sure loser I am looking forward to him running tin 2028 again. What could go wrong?
